Faithfulness

 

You ever met someone that loves you more than love itself ever could?

So much you can barely breathe

You ever met someone whose love blinded you to all hate

So much your sight was filled

You ever met one so forgiving

Even after he’s been crushed under the weight of your sins

You ever met one so merciful

There is nothing thou shall ask that thou won't receive

Even when my actions were too filthy to look upon

Even when my eyes couldn’t behold you

Even when I got lost

Even when I wandered away

Who dare say thou art not faithful?

Your Faithfulness borne from your love

Has made me ignorant of people’s rebuff

And my heart now bursts with joy so full

Your Faithfulness has eaten into the recesses of my heart

Your Love and loyalty is overwhelming and all-consuming

The more of you I see, The more of you I thirst

And this I pray that your Faithfulness like a cedar tree is rooted deep in my heart.
